Valparaiso University is a private university in Valparaiso, Indiana. It was established in 1859 as one of the nation’s first co-educational colleges. It is an independent Lutheran university with five undergraduate colleges and a graduate school, home to about 2,500 full-time enrolled students on a campus of 350 acres. The university goes by the name Valpo among students and offers studies in liberal arts, professional training and graduate study.
